In 1974 he was the Eastern Ontario high jump champion. Known for his Kermit the Frog and Bert and Ernie impersonations. He was a 38 year quadriplegic, and actively involved in wheelchair sports. Beloved husband of the late Kathleen Wiseman. Loving father to Eleanor (Cecil MacPhian), Eileen (Jim Crosbie), John (Ada), Michael (Joanne), Charlie (Joanne), and daughter-in-laws Faye Riley, and Rosemary Riley. Predeceased by his sons Henry, William and Ronnie, brother Norman and sister Joan. Also predeceased by his parents John and Ethel Riley. Lovingly remembered by his 20 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren. Ray will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relative and friends. Friends are invited to visit with the family at Lannin Funeral Home and Chapel, Smiths Falls on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8PM. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday February 13, 2013 at 11 o'clock. Interment at St. Peter's Parish Cemetery. Reception to follow at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #231 Portland, Ontario.
