We knew Donnie for our lifetime growing up on the north side of town with all the CPR families. I now recall how he loved his track and field. Although we haven’t had contact for years I always glanced at his well-kept home every time we commuted to Ottawa, often thinking I should stop in.

Donnie was a big part of our lives for a period of time, calling at all hours of the day! We’d run into him after retirement walking the dog, shopping & always had a great conversation, such a wonderful man!

Sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Carmichael I would enjoy meeting him when he and McGregor were out and about as I have McGregor's sister Emma. Mr. Carmichael loved his beloved companion. Mr. Carmichael would always ask how my Uncle George was doing as they both worked on the railroad. May your memories keep him close to you all.
