I am so sorry for your loss. Leata was a wonderful kind person. When I first joined Eastern Star, back in 1987, Leata was the first person to welcome me, which meant so much as I was new to Smiths Falls and didn’t know anyone. We continued the friendship for many years, and I visited her often after her horrible accident, both in her home and at Van Horne. She was a fighter and did not want to leave her family. She told me that it was thinking of them that gave her the will to fight for her life. She loved you so much !
You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Fred and family:
So very sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. She surely had a beautiful soul. Working at Noonan's restaurant and having Dalton and Leata come in to help me was always a great pleasure. Sending the biggest hug to all. Rest in peace dear Leata. Memories are precious.

Deepest condolences on the loss of your mother.
Way back in 1967, I suffered a punctured kidney during an SFDCI football practice. Dr. Orme Murphy admitted me to the old Public Hospital. Your mother was my nurse there. She was a lovely lady and did a great job of looking after me.
